The problem
Money is invisible to a seven-year-old.
[Who it’s for and what parents struggled with before. Two or three sentences, in your words. What did “done” mean for the first release?]
Decisions
The calls I made.
One codebase, both stores
React Native kept iOS and Android at parity with one engineer. [What you gave up for it, and where you dropped to native code.]
Moving the backend while it was live
The app moved to Supabase with families still using it, with privacy policy and terms updated in the same release. [How you kept balances safe during the move.]
[A call you’d make differently]
[One honest trade-off. A senior case study is more convincing with one of these in it.]
Built with agents
Where agents helped, and where I stepped in.
Agents did[e.g. Drafted the migration and security policies; ran UI checks on both simulators.]
I did[e.g. Designed the family data model, reviewed every change, tested on real phones, owned the release.]
I overrode[One moment the agent was wrong and how you caught it. This is the line readers trust most.]
